Just a really quick post today....we've got friends coming for dinner tonight and I've got some shopping and cleaning to get done. I wanted to share this little project since it can only be used once a year! I made these for my stamping ladies who placed orders last month.
I had more pictures of the group of them but somehow it got deleted! These are called sour cream containers and they are super easy. There is a really good tutorial HERE on Splitcoaststampers so I'm not going to go into details about that. I filled mine with almond Hershey Kisses. They are the ones in the gold wrappers so I thought that was fitting for St. Patrick's day...kind of like a pot of gold. I could easily fit 6 kisses into the container.
To make the tag I just used my small heart punch and punched 3 hearts from Wild Wasabi and then I used part of the branch shape from the Bird punch to make the stem. I glued them all down in a shamrock shape onto a Very Vanilla tag that was matted onto a larger Blush Blossom tag. The edges of the Very Vanilla tag are sponged a little with Wild Wasabi ink.
The tag is tied onto the sour cream container with Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon.
Have a wonderful St. Patrick's day...we've all got our green on and had green pancakes for breakfast. What are you doing for day?
Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?

ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love those little favor boxes. And I never would have thought about making a shamrock out of heart punches-so genius! TFS
ReplyDeleteAmanda you're inspiring - just what I was looking for for my this month's thank you's. I have a delivery coming on Monday and loads of customers. I didn't even see that those shamrocks were made with hearts - very effective. Helen x
ReplyDeleteVery cute and so easy and quick to make! Love that you mixed the traditional and non-traditional colors.
